In this score, I wanted to convey the high-energy visuals through high-energy sounds. I combined brash, detuned synths with pulsing 808s and basses, accompanied with electronic drum patterns with Afrobeats influences, marrying the genres of hip-hop, hyper pop, ballroom, techno, and jungle, weaving through the visuals for a seamless audiovisual experience. Vocal chops echo throughout, adding to the organized chaos of the aggressive drum-work. I also experimented with various “whooshing” and foley SFX to accentuate the magnitude and energy of the models’ movements and the lively camerawork.
